Jim Duffy (jduffy@takenote.com) is founder and president of TakeNote Technologies. He has a BS degree in Computer and Information Systems and 20 years of programming and training experience. He is an exceptional trainer, skilled developer, and has been published in a number of leading publications including CoDe Magazine. Jim's passion for teaching and presenting, combined with his humorous and quick-witted approach, have made him a popular speaker at international developer conferences, regional conferences, and local user groups. His most recent speaking appearance was at the DevTeach 2007 conference in Montreal Canada.

Jim specializes in Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server development, including converting VB6 and Visual FoxPro applications to .NET. Jim is a member of the INETA speakers bureau and is also a Microsoft VB.NET MVP.

Rod Paddock is an award winning software developer based in Seattle, WA . He specializes in application architecture, development and software training. He has worked on enterprise applications for clients including Six Flags, First Premier Bank, Microsoft, The US Coast Guard and US Navy.

Rod specializes in Visual Studio .NET (C# and VB.NET), Visual Basic 6, Visual FoxPro, and SQL Server development. Rod has been a very popular speaker at a wide variety of developer conferences in North America and Europe since 1995. His most recent speaking appearance was at the DevTeach 2007 conference in Montreal Canada . Rod was made an MSDN Canada speaker in 2004 and is currently a Microsoft VB.NET MVP.

Rod is also editor in chief for Code Magazine and has written numerous articles and books on software development.

Chris Love has over 13 years of experience in software design, development and architecture. He has been the principal developer for over 250 ASP and ASP.NET web sites over the past 7 years. These projects have exposed Chris to a wide range of Microsoft related technologies to solve real business problems. He has learned to look objectively at a client’s business and offer pragmatic suggestions to make them more efficient and profitable.

He has focused primarily on ASP.NET and VB.NET to produce the majority of his web sites. SQL Server is his database of choice. Chris is a Microsoft Certified Professional in ASP.NET.

Other responsibilities have included managing and maintaining production Windows servers for web, database and e-mail. He has had to learn to manage performance, security and spam safeguards to keep customers operating 24/7.

Chris has been active in a leadership role in the local user’s group, TRINUG for over 5 years. He served as the Vice President for the first 3 years and is currently on the advisory board. He has also led monthly a Special Interest Group (SIG) where he covered practical ASP.NET programming techniques, including how to use httpHandlers, httpModules, extending the .NET framework and using third party tools. He frequently presents and organizes Code Camps around the country.
